The Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), has approved the cut-off points for admission into its various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The approved cut-off points, released by the university’s Admissions Committee and signed by the Registrar on August 19, 2026, provide separate benchmarks for candidates under the Merit, Catchment, and Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS) categories.
Medicine and Surgery recorded the highest cut-off point, with 81.33 for merit candidates, 79.30 for catchment candidates and 75.61 for candidates from ELDS.
Dental Surgery followed with a merit cut-off of 75.88, while Nursing recorded 75.55. Pharmacy had a merit cut-off of 72.92, Physiotherapy 70.96, Radiography 68.33, and Optometry 66.00.
Other programmes recorded significantly lower thresholds. Dental Therapy has a merit cut-off of 50.30, Health Information Management 50.13, Human Anatomy 50.00, Human Nutrition and Dietetics 51.38, IT and Health Informatics 50.75, Physiology 50.92, Pharmacology 50.00, Biochemistry 50.80, Biology 50.00, Chemistry 50.00, Microbiology 50.13, Physics 50.00, and Statistics 50.00.

With Medicine and Surgery carrying the highest benchmark across the three admission categories, prospective applicants are expected to take note of the applicable cut-off point for their programme and admission category as they proceed with the 2026/2027 admission process.
The university stated its temporary site as No. 31, Central Avenue, Kenta Estate, Idi Aba, Abeokuta, pending the development of its permanent facilities.
