Candidates can now upload and verify O’Level results from home as Board moves to reduce CBT-centre visits, queues and manual errors
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new arrangement that allows candidates to upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to visit Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the process.
The development is part of the Board’s efforts to make its services easier, faster, safer and more accessible to candidates by leveraging technology to streamline admission-related processes.
Under the new arrangement, JAMB will facilitate the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly with the examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
Consequently, candidates can initiate the process from home, while JAMB undertakes the verification of the submitted results against records held by the relevant examination bodies.
According to the Board, the initiative is designed to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, particularly during periods of high patronage, while also minimising the queues and manual processes traditionally associated with O’Level result uploads.
The new system is also expected to address some of the challenges associated with manual uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, the presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, as well as errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
Through the integration of JAMB’s e-Facility platform with the relevant examination bodies, candidates’ results can be verified directly against the records of the issuing examination body before being uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
HOW TO VERIFY AND UPLOAD YOUR O’LEVEL RESULT
The new process involves two major stages: verification of the O’Level result and upload of the verified result to the candidate’s JAMB profile.
FIRST LEVEL: VERIFICATION OF RESULTS
1. Visit https://buyresultsverificationcode.ng
2. Enter your NIN and click “Verify NIN.”
3. Select the desired number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies, then click “Continue.”
4. Enter your email address and GSM number, then click “Pay Now.” You will be redirected to the payment gateway.
5. Complete payment using your debit card or bank transfer.
6. After successful payment, enter your examination details, including:
- Examination number
- Examination series
- Examination year
7. Verify your result or results for the number of sittings selected and proceed to obtain your Verification Code.
SECOND LEVEL: UPLOAD OF O’LEVEL RESULTS
8. Send “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019.
9. Your result will be uploaded, and you will receive a notification.
10. Candidates with two sittings will be notified to visit their profile on JAMB e-Facility.
11. On the e-Facility dashboard, click “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”
12. Enter your Verification Code. Your two verified results will be displayed.
13. Select the required subjects from the displayed results, ensuring that:
- A minimum of 5 subjects is selected.
- A maximum of 9 subjects is selected.
- No subject is selected more than once.
14. Click “Apply the O’Level Results.”
15. Upon successful upload, you will receive a notification confirming the submission.
A STEP TOWARDS EASIER SERVICE DELIVERY
The new arrangement provides candidates with a convenient alternative to visiting CBT centres, particularly during periods of high patronage and network congestion.
More importantly, it represents a broader shift towards technology-driven service delivery in Nigeria’s admission process. By moving routine processes away from physical queues and manual procedures, JAMB is seeking to make interactions with the Board more convenient for candidates and their families.
The initiative also reflects the Board’s renewed emphasis on improving the candidate experience by making its services more efficient, secure and accessible.
The development is part of the commitment of JAMB’s sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, to building a more customer-oriented and technology-driven service delivery system.
The Board said it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with relevant examination and government agencies to simplify its services and make them safer and more accessible to candidates.
