UI Post UTME/DE 2025: Cut-Off Mark, Eligibility, and Registration Details
Ibadan, Nigeria – The University of Ibadan (UI) has announced the opening of its admission portal for the 2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration, scheduled from Monday, July 21, 2025, to Saturday, August 17, 2025. Prospective candidates are advised to complete their registration within this period, as no extensions are anticipated.
Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates who scored 200 or above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to register for the Post-UTME screening. Additionally, candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, to be cleared for admission.
For programs in the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy, candidates must have five (5) O’level credits in relevant subjects at one sitting. For other programs, candidates with two O’level sittings must possess at least six (6) credits in relevant subjects. The university accepts WAEC, NECO, Cambridge Advanced Level, NCE, ND, HND, and degree certificates from recognized institutions for Direct Entry admissions but does not accept IJMB or JUPEB.
Registration Process
Candidates are required to log in to the UI Admission Portal (https://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng) using their JAMB Registration Number as the username (e.g., 202412345678EG) and their surname as the initial password (e.g., OYESANMI). A portal access fee of N3,000.00 and a screening fee of N2,000.00 must be paid through the portal. Payment options include:
- Card: Credit/Debit Card payment using an ATM card.
- Bank Transfer: Direct bank account debit via internet banking tools.
- Bank Branch: Cash payment at a bank using the print-out from the portal.
Upon successful payment, candidates should print the payment success receipt. Direct Entry candidates are also required to upload their credentials to ugadmissions@stu.ui.edu.ng. Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submissions.
Important Information
Candidates must provide valid and active email addresses and phone numbers, as the university will not be responsible for communication failures due to invalid contact details. Candidates are also advised to review the list of matriculating subjects on the university’s website.
