2026/2027 Admission Exercise: Notice of Post UTME Screening
Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN)
The management of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN) has officially announced the commencement of its admission exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
All applications and admissions will be processed strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
Important Information for Candidates
Prospective candidates seeking admission into are advised to carefully review the following requirements:
1. Age Requirement
Candidates must have attained a minimum of 16 years of age by September 30, 2026.
2. UTME Requirement
All applicants must have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
3. Minimum Cut-Off Mark
- General minimum score: 160
- Some competitive programmes require 180 and above
- Candidates scoring below 160 are not eligible for admission consideration.
4. O’Level Requirements
Applicants must possess at least:
- Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics
- Obtained in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
- Not more than two sittings
All results must be uploaded on the university portal.
5. Change of Institution
Candidates wishing to make FUTES-IYIN their first choice must process a Change of Institution via JAMB CAPS before applying.

Post UTME Registration Details
Application Fee
- Post UTME Screening Fee: ₦2,000
- Portal Access Fee: ₦3,000
Payments must be made via REMITA through the university admission portal: 👉 https://portal.futes.edu.ng/apply
Method of Application
Applicants are expected to follow the steps below carefully:
- Candidates must possess the required five (5) O’Level credit passes, including Mathematics and English.
- A valid email address is required for registration and activation.
- After sign-up, an activation link will be sent to the email provided. Candidates must activate their account before proceeding.
(Check spam/junk folders if not received. Accounts not activated within 48 hours will be deleted automatically.) - Fill in all personal and academic details accurately and upload a passport photograph (maximum 100KB).
- Uploaded passport photographs cannot be changed after submission.
- Candidates are fully responsible for any incorrect or incomplete information submitted.
- Any technical issues should be reported to the university support centre.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
Direct Entry applicants must also participate in the screening exercise.
Requirements include:
- National Diploma (ND) with at least Upper Credit
- OR A-Level passes in three relevant subjects
- Academic transcripts must be forwarded to the Registrar before September 30, 2026.
Final Screening
All successfully admitted candidates will undergo final screening by the university, and their aggregate scores will be communicated accordingly.
