University of Maiduguri Announces 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) pre-admission screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to a bulletin from the Office of the Registrar dated Friday, August 7, 2025, the screening will run from Monday, August 11 to Thursday, September 11, 2025. There will be no extension beyond this deadline.Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 via the REMITA platform.
- Only those who selected UNIMAID as their first choice in the 2025 UTME/DE are eligible.
- UTME applicants must have scored at least 150, except for courses with higher cut-off marks.
- Applicants must have the correct UTME subject combinations and meet their course’s minimum score.
- Those who don’t meet requirements may switch to eligible courses.
- Candidates must possess at least five O’Level credits, including Maths and English, in no more than two sittings.
- Only official result print-outs from recognized bodies (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB) will be accepted.
- Direct Entry candidates must have at least lower credit or merit in their diploma/NCE.
How to Apply
- Visit www.unimaid.edu.ng and click on “Post UTME Screening 2025”.
- Log in with JAMB registration number as username and utmad@2025 as password.
- Upload a passport photo (max 200KB), set a new password, and enter contact details.
- Click “Generate” to pay the N2,000 fee.
- Upload biodata, O’Level results, and all required documents.
- Submit the application.
Candidates must ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS, or they risk disqualification.
