FUTA Begins 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Registration
The (FUTA) has officially announced the commencement of its online registration exercise for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening.
According to the institution, registration for admission into all undergraduate programmes will begin on Monday, June 1, 2026 and close on Friday, July 3, 2026.
The university urged all qualified candidates to complete their registration within the stipulated period, as failure to do so will automatically disqualify them from the admission process.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates eligible for the screening exercise include:
- UTME candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected FUTA as their first choice institution.
In addition, applicants must possess:
- At least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- Results obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations.
FUTA Restores MBBS Admission
The university also announced that admission into its MBBS programme, which was previously suspended, has now been reinstated.
Interested and qualified candidates are therefore eligible to apply for the programme during the ongoing screening exercise.
Method of Application
Candidates are required to:
- Visit the university’s official website for detailed admission information.
- Complete and submit the Post-UTME application form online.
- Print a copy of the completed registration form for reference.
Important Registration Guidelines
The university emphasized that:
- The registration form is compulsory for all eligible candidates.
- Candidates must correctly provide their JAMB Registration Number and full names exactly as they appear on their JAMB slip.
- Registration must be completed within the official registration period.
Candidates who fail to register before the deadline will not be eligible for the screening exercise.
Important Admission Notices
FUTA further stated that:
- Any candidate who is not screened will not be considered for admission.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026 to qualify for admission.
- Applicants must upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS on or before Friday, July 3, 2026.
Failure to upload O’Level results before the deadline will render affected candidates ineligible for admission consideration.
