The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 admission screening exercise for prospective undergraduate students. This announcement, issued by Dr. Mrs. C. N. Nnebedum, the University Registrar, invites eligible candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to participate in the online screening process.
This screening exercise reflects UNN’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring a seamless admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
UNN is inviting candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2025 UTME and chose the university as their first-choice institution. Additional eligibility requirements include:- Consistency between names on WAEC/NECO results and JAMB registration.
- Candidates awaiting the November/December 2025 GCE or NECO examinations are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants below the age of 16 years by September 30, 2025, are not permitted to apply.
Online Registration Process
Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira only) through the Remita Platform at any commercial bank. The online registration will commence on Monday, July 14, 2025, and conclude at midnight on Friday, August 15, 2025.Step-by-Step Process Flow for Post-UTME Registration
- Access the Portal: Log on to the University website at unn.edu.ng.
- Navigate to UNN Portal: Click on the UNN portal (located in the top right corner of the website).
- Select Application: Click on Prospective Students, then choose Online Application Form for 2025/2026 Admission Screening Exercise.
- Enter Details: Input your JAMB Registration Number.
- Generate Invoice: Generate an invoice for payment.
- Make Payment: Proceed to any bank for payment using the Remita Platform or pay online with an ATM card.
- Return to Portal: Re-enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Complete Form: Fill in your Date of Birth and other blank fields.
- Input O’Level Details: Enter verified O’Level subjects and grades, including examination centre and number. Awaiting results candidates should list their SSCE subjects. Re-enter grades accurately.
- Upload Documents: Upload the following certificates (ensure file sizes do not exceed 100KB):
- Birth Certificate (verify date of birth, as no changes will be allowed thereafter).
- Local Government Identification.
- Testimonial.
- First School Leaving Certificate.
- JAMB Result Slip.
- O’Level 1.
- O’Level 2 (for candidates with double sittings).
- Review and Submit: Click the NEXT button to review the summary page, ensure all details are correct, check the CONFIRMATION BOX, and click SUBMIT.
- Print Slip: Print the Acknowledgement Slip for records.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
DE candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution for the 2025/2026 session are also required to register for the screening. They must ensure that their A’Level (Direct Entry) results, submitted during JAMB registration, have been verified by the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS).Important Notes

- The university emphasizes accuracy in submitted data, as no corrections will be permitted after submission. Incomplete or inconsistent applications may lead to disqualification.
