The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has officially opened its 2025/2026 Pre-Admission Screening Exercise for prospective undergraduate students seeking admission into 100, 200, or 300 Levels at FUNAAB or its affiliated institutions. This announcement, addressed to prospective students, outlines the application process, eligibility criteria, and available programmes for the academic session commencing in August 2025.

Overview of the Admission Exercise
FUNAAB, along with its affiliated institutions—Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB) and Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora (OYSCATECH)—invites candidates who selected these institutions as their first-choice degree-awarding bodies with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to apply online for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Screening Exercise. Admission is highly competitive, with successful candidates offered placement through JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) based on institutional capacity. Admitted students will undergo an intensive ICT Training and Orientation Programme to prepare for university life.Application Procedure
Guidelines for Online Application
- Eligible candidates should click on “Login” on the university’s admission portal and enter their JAMB UTME or Direct Entry Registration Numbers to generate and print an Application Invoice. This invoice includes the REMITA Reference Number and details for a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 and a portal access fee of ₦1,000, excluding REMITA charges.
- Payment can be made at any bank accepting REMITA payments nationwide, online using a debit card, via internet banking, or through the REMITA website using the provided reference number.
- After payment, candidates must return to the University’s Admission Portal, log in, and complete the e-application form.
- Personal records fetched from JAMB’s portal will be displayed across several pages and cannot be altered. Candidates must accurately input required information, including contact details, O’Level examination details, and OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB results where applicable.
- On the final Acknowledgement Page, candidates should review their application carefully, confirm the entries, and click the Submit button. A printed copy of the Application Form, featuring the candidate’s passport photograph, should be retained.
Application Timeline
The application portal opens on Monday, 21st July 2025 and closes on Friday, 15th August 2025. Only applications completed before this deadline will be considered.Correction of Wrongly Entered Data

- Complaints regarding incorrect contact details, O’Level results, or OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB results will not be entertained after the deadline.
- Candidates submitting incorrect O’Level or UTME/OND/HND/NCE/A’Level/IJMB/JUPEB results will be automatically disqualified.

Eligibility for Consideration
General O’Level Requirement
- Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level Credits in relevant subjects at one or two sittings in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB. Candidates are advised to consult FUNAAB’s Brochure and confirm admission requirements for respective degree programmes before applying.
UTME Candidates
- Must have chosen FUNAAB or one of its affiliated institutions as their first-choice degree-awarding institution on the JAMB form.
- Must have sat for the 2025/2026 UTME and scored a minimum of 160 marks.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must hold a minimum of Upper Credit or its equivalent and have applied to JAMB, selecting FUNAAB or an affiliated institution as their first-choice degree-awarding institution.
- Must submit their transcript (for OND/HND/NCE candidates) or a Certified True Copy of Statement of Results (for A’Level candidates), duly stamped by the Director/HOD of the graduating institution, to the Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, no later than Friday, 15th August 2025.

UTME Candidates: Admission into 100 Level
- Agriculture, Engineering, Biosciences, Physical Sciences, Computing Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine Programmes: Five (5) SSC Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings. A Pass in Biology with a Credit in Agricultural Science is acceptable only for Agricultural Programmes (Agricultural Science is not accepted in lieu of Biology). Candidates for Water Resources Management must also have a Credit in Geography.
- Entrepreneurial Studies: Five (5) O’Level Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agricultural Science, a vocational/science subject, and any of Economics, Geography, or other commercial subjects.
- Instruction: Candidates must check back for updates on the admission process after form submission.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates: Admission into 200 Level
- Agriculture, Engineering, Biosciences, Physical Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine Courses: Minimum of Upper Credit at ND or HND, or Credit at NCE in related areas, plus two A-Level/IJMB/JUPEB passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology/Zoology/Botany. FUNAAB does not accept Lower Credit.
- Entrepreneurial Studies: Minimum of Upper Credit at OND/HND or Credit at NCE in a relevant discipline, or two (2) A’Level passes in Mathematics, Economics, and other Commercial, Vocational, or Science subjects.
- Deadline for Transcript/Statement: Submission to the Registrar by Friday, 15th August 2025.
Inter-University Transfer
- Candidates can upload bio-data, photographs, academic records, and other details using their UTME Registration Number. Save each page, log out as needed, and resume later. On the Acknowledgement Page, confirm accuracy before submission, as no alterations are possible post-submission. Print the generated Application Form.

- Candidates are solely responsible for meeting minimum admission requirements before payment. Offers of admission will be withdrawn if ineligibility is discovered, and payments are non-refundable.
