FUHSI 2026/2027 Post-UTME & Direct Entry Screening Registration: Eligibility, Requirements and Application Guide
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI) has commenced registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. Qualified candidates seeking admission into the university are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and application procedures before submitting their applications.
Only candidates who scored 180 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and selected FUHSI as their first-choice institution are eligible to apply.
Candidates who initially selected FUHSI as their second choice or did not choose the university at all are required to carry out a Change of Institution to FUHSI as their first choice through the JAMB portal before commencing registration.
Similarly, Direct Entry applicants must also ensure that FUHSI is selected as their first-choice institution before applying.
General Admission Requirements
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects.
- O’Level results must be obtained in not more than two sittings, except for programmes with a one-sitting requirement.
- Applicants are required to have a valid email address for account creation and activation.
- After registration, an activation link will be sent to the registered email address. Candidates should also check their spam folder if the email is not found in the inbox.
- Accounts that are not activated within 48 hours will be automatically deleted.
- Applicants must upload a recent passport photograph not exceeding 100KB. The uploaded passport cannot be changed after admission.
- Candidates are advised to provide accurate information, as the university will not be responsible for errors or incomplete applications.
UTME (100 Level) Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission through UTME must meet the following requirements:
- FUHSI must be selected as the first-choice institution.
- Correct UTME subject combination: English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Five O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Important: Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, and Doctor of Physiotherapy must obtain all five required O’Level credits in one sitting. All other programmes accept a maximum of two sittings.
Direct Entry (200 Level) Requirements
Direct Entry applicants must also select FUHSI as their first-choice institution and possess the required O’Level credits.
Applicants for Medicine and Surgery and Nursing Science must possess any of the following:
- A minimum of Second Class Upper Division in a relevant Biological Science degree.
- High grading points in JUPEB or IJMB with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- For Nursing Science, Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) qualifications are also accepted.
Applicants for other programmes may qualify with:
- A’Level passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- National Diploma (ND) with at least Upper Credit in a relevant science discipline.

Visit the FUHSI Admissions Portal, click on “Post-UTME Registration”, and enter your UTME Registration Number to retrieve your details. - Generate Invoice and Make Payment
Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR), then pay the prescribed screening fee online or at any commercial bank. - Complete Your Registration
Log in after payment confirmation, complete your biodata, upload your O’Level results, passport photograph, and other required information. - Print Your Screening Slip
Review all entries carefully, submit your application, and print your Post-UTME Screening Registration Slip for future reference and physical verification.
