How to Calculate Your FUOYE Screening Points

Hello FUOYE aspirants! Here’s a clear and simple guide to help you calculate your screening points for admission into the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). The screening score is based on your UTME (JAMB) score, O’level results, and the number of O’level sittings.

Step 1: Calculate Your UTME Score Contribution

To calculate the UTME contribution to your screening points:

• Divide your JAMB score by 400.
• Multiply the result by 60.

Formula:
(JAMB Score / 400) × 60

Example:
If your JAMB score is 270:
(270 / 400) × 60 = 0.675 × 60 = 40.5 points

Step 2: Calculate Your O’level Sittings Points

Your points for O’level sittings are awarded as follows:

• 1 O’level Sitting: 10 points
• 2 O’level Sittings: 6 points

Example:

• If you used one sitting, you get 10 points.
• If you used two sittings, you get 6 points.

Step 3: Calculate Your O’level Grades Points

FUOYE considers your best five relevant O’level subjects (e.g., English, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to your course). Each grade is assigned points as follows:

• A1: 6 points
• B2: 5 points
• B3: 4 points
• C4: 3 points
• C5: 2 points
• C6: 1 point

Add the points for your five subjects to get your O’level grade points (maximum of 30 points).

Example:
Suppose your O’level results are:

• English: A1 = 6 points
• Mathematics: B3 = 4 points
• Biology: A1 = 6 points
• Chemistry: B2 = 5 points
• Physics: C4 = 3 points

Calculation:
6 + 4 + 6 + 5 + 3 = 24 points
