This is to inform the general public that registration for the 2025/2026 academic session Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) and Direct Entry Screening of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, will commence on Friday, 18th July 2025 and end on Friday, 29th August 2025.
Interested candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME and selected AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application are eligible to apply. However, candidates are advised to check the minimum cut-off points for the respective programmes listed below to guide their choices.
Note: The screening for the 2025/2026 academic session will be conducted through an internal screening of candidates’ results. All candidates must ensure their O’Level and Direct Entry results are uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before Friday, 29th August 2025. Applications without uploaded results will not be processed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Eligibility for Non-First-Choice Candidates: Prospective candidates who did not choose AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution but wish to study there are eligible to apply for Post-UTME. Such candidates, including Direct Entry (DE) candidates, must effect a Change of Institution/Course to AE-FUNAI on the JAMB Portal on or before Friday, 29th August 2025.
- O’Level Requirements: Candidates for Medicine and Surgery, and Nursing Science programmes must have obtained their O’Level results at one sitting only.
- Subject Requirements: Candidates should refer to the UTME and O’Level subject requirements available on the university website (www.funai.edu.ng).
- Portal Closure: After Friday, 29th August 2025, the JAMB CAPS portal for changing university/programme will no longer be available for AE-FUNAI.
- Registration Locations: Candidates may register at the:
- University CBT Centre, Zone A, University Campus
- Centre for Educational Services (JUPEB/Pre-Degree School), Aguogboriga Estate, Abakaliki
- Communication: Candidates are advised to use easily accessible GSM numbers during registration for effective communication.
- Disqualification: Any false information provided during the screening or admission process will lead to automatic disqualification.
MODE OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Eligible candidates are required to pay a processing fee of N2,000 only (excluding bank charges). Follow these steps to register:- Visit the University website: www.funai.edu.ng.
- Navigate to ADMISSIONS at the top menu or QUICK LINKS.
- Click on 2025/2026 UTME Admission Screening or 2025/2026 Direct Entry Admission Screening.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number.
- Proceed to any bank for payment with your Remita number or use the online payment option.
- Return to the application page and re-enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Complete the form and submit your application.
- Print out your acknowledgement slip.
